Born in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, my love and appreciation for nature and all its wonders began at a very early age. Photography is my passion, and my goal is to share with you the beauty of a special moment I felt at that place and time. My inspiration comes from the fact that the world is constantly changing; therefore, no two images can ever be the same. So, I must keep shooting!
My knowledge of photography comes from taking many courses at a local junior college, through professional photography organizations, reading countless books and manuals, and a lot of trial and error. I have gained valuable knowledge and experience from all of this training, in addition to almost non-stop shooting. Presently I am focusing on my favorite subject: landscapes. I also have a love of capturing the essence of the human race from my own point of view. Today I make my home in Sacramento, California where I am employed as a legal assistant for a large law firm. As time permits, I continue to travel and explore the world’s beauty, constantly learning new skills.
Many of the images on my website were taken with film — both 35 mm and medium format. Currently, I shoot with two cameras: a Nikon D200 digital and a Hasselblad XPan II. The Hassleblad captures panoramic images across two frames of 35 mm film. Also, I love the creativity of the Lensbaby which is a unique lens that focuses on a sweet spot while blurring the rest of the image.
I hope you enjoy browsing through my website. I would love to hear from you if you come across anything that “speaks to you ”

MY SIMPLE PRAYER is that in all things
I learn to love well.
That I learn to touch the ever-changing season of life with a great heart of compassion.
That I live with the peace and justice I wish for the earth.
That I learn to care fully and let go gracefully.
That I enjoy the abundance of the earth and return to it
from the natural generosity that is our human birthright.
That through my own life, through joy and sorrow in
thought, word, and deed,
I bring benefit and blessing to all that lives.
That my heart and the hearts of all beings learn to be free.
